Lady Gaga gobbles Dave's interview question

There is something Lady Gaga should probably know: Madonna did crazy on Letterman in 1994, when the Queen of Pop cursed, puffed a cigar, gifted Dave with her underpants, and generally irritated the Late Show host so severely for 20 excruciating minutes, he screamed into the camera, "Ladies and gentlemen, turn down your volume... there's something wrong with her!" Others have tried to do crazy -- Joaquin Phoenix deliberately made Letterman's show part of his I'm Not There hoax -- but nobody has matched Madonna's effortless insanity from 17 years ago.
Lady Gaga certainly tried last night, though, striding out onto the Ed Sullivan Theater set dressed like a bat bikini model and chomping on a ripped-off piece of blue paper after she decided she didn't dig the questions. (When Letterman warned her the paper she'd grabbed, ripped, and chewed had been chemically treated, she briefly feigned death, then pretended to spit it out behind her chair.) Gaga also chatted about getting famous by being naked and chilling out in her egg-pod as she said the following 10 wacky things (we've helpfully included context, too):

Soccer player moves like Michael Jackson

Back in December, strange reports from the Milan dressing room emerged about new addition Kevin-Prince Boateng, with his neck tattoos and fiery temper, doing exceptional Michael Jackson routines behind closed doors.
"Boateng has a very beautiful voice," Massimo Oddo said. "He also knows how to dance," Mario Yepes added. "Kevin's specialty is the moonwalk." At the time, it seemed no one outside the dressing room would ever get to see this hidden talent, but last month, Boateng promised to share it with the public if Milan won the Serie A title. Well, they did it and, after Milan's 4-1 win over Cagliari at the San Siro, so did he. With the stadium lights dimmed and a spotlight on a make-shift dance floor featuring the Scudetto itself in one corner, "Billie Jean" played over the sound system as a man in Michael Jackson outfit emerged with a fedora pulled down over his face. He knew the moves and, for a 6'1" 190 lbs. footballer, he pulled them off pretty well, with the moonwalk being the highlight. When he finished his routine, pulled off his hat and let out one of his primal screams to fully reveal his identity, his cheering teammates surrounded him as the crowd voiced their approval. With silverware being handed out across Europe these last few weeks, we've seen a lot of great celebrations, but nothing like this. Maybe next year he'll do an Elvis routine. Or a Miley Cyrus.

Qatar Unveils 5 Solar Stadiums for 2022 World Cup

In its efforts to win the bid to host the 2022 FIFA world Cup, Qatar has announced plans to build five stadiums. In fact Qatar 2022 has even released the concept plans for the design of these proposed stadiums. Designed by Albert Speer & Partner GmbH, these proposed stadium designs display striking and dramatic looks but also incorporate state-of-the-art technology in an effort to stand out from the crowd bidding to host this popular tournament. These proposed designs were unveiled to the world at ‘Sport Accord’, the world’s largest sporting convention in Dubai.

Each one of the stadiums has either been inspired by a specific element of Qatari culture and tradition, or acts as a symbol to the rest of the world of the relationship that Qatar shares with the competing nations. What is more, the structures will make the most of solar technology to serve the power requirements. Using innovative climate control technology, temperatures within the stadiums are set to stay below 28°C, despite the nation’s fierce heat, making the 2022 FIFA World Cup the first ever cooled outdoor sporting event.

What is more, Qatar 2022 has announced that post the world cup, many modular components of the stadiums no longer needed will be dismantled and shipped to other countries in order to promote football development.
Currently, AS&MP have presented designs for five football stadiums located across Qatar, two of which are adaptations of existing buildings. The proposed stadiums are as follows: The Al Rayyan Stadium is currently situated 20km northwest of the capital, Doha. Plans are to adapt the existing building, surrounding it in a membrane-like structure onto which will be projected match updates, tournament information and other filmic material. The plans also include doubling the seating capacity.
The second adaption will be the Al Gharafa stadium situated close to the city of Doha. The facade of the existing stadium is to be transformed into a vivid explosion of color and the seating capacity will be doubled. Al Shamal stadium will be a brand new stadium with a capacity for up to 45,120 people.
Proposed to be situated in north of Qatar, the design of this stadium has been inspired by the traditional local fishing boats of the Gulf, ‘dhows’. Al Wakrah is another brand new stadium that is more than a stadium, in fact it is proposed to be a huge sports complex complete with multi-purpose hall, themed swimming-pool, spa zone and shopping mall alongside the obvious sports facilities.
Finally, is the Al Khor stadium (another brand new one), that will boast of a seashell-inspired asymmetrical structure set in landscaped gardens and with a capacity to hold 45,330 football fans. Besides being able to watch more than one match per day, all stadiums will be linked to the brand new metro system allowing fans to travel from one stadium to another through public transport. Qatar will have to wait till December 2010 for FIFA will make their final decision as to which of the 11 bidding nations are to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Until then click here to view each stadium design.
