Expressing Beautiful Art Through Sand And Earth

Most people have probably written in the sand several times, whether it was in the sandbox in kindergarden or on a beach during a summer vacation. But artist and surfer Jim Denevan has taken the sand writing to a whole new level. He uses a simple driftwood stick to create large-scale beach drawings that is mostly geometric circles and shapes.
He plays with his imagination and improvises on empty beaches and even other flat areas and fields on earth. Denevan can be working up to 7 hours a day walking about 30 miles creating amazing patterns. “When I’m doing a drawing, I’m personifying the place that is empty”, the artist says himself.

His beach art always ends up getting washed away by the tide water at the end of the day, but that doesn’t make him sad, because it’s just preparing the area to be drawn by another pattern the next day.

Qatar Unveils 5 Solar Stadiums for 2022 World Cup

In its efforts to win the bid to host the 2022 FIFA world Cup, Qatar has announced plans to build five stadiums. In fact Qatar 2022 has even released the concept plans for the design of these proposed stadiums. Designed by Albert Speer & Partner GmbH, these proposed stadium designs display striking and dramatic looks but also incorporate state-of-the-art technology in an effort to stand out from the crowd bidding to host this popular tournament. These proposed designs were unveiled to the world at ‘Sport Accord’, the world’s largest sporting convention in Dubai.

Each one of the stadiums has either been inspired by a specific element of Qatari culture and tradition, or acts as a symbol to the rest of the world of the relationship that Qatar shares with the competing nations. What is more, the structures will make the most of solar technology to serve the power requirements. Using innovative climate control technology, temperatures within the stadiums are set to stay below 28°C, despite the nation’s fierce heat, making the 2022 FIFA World Cup the first ever cooled outdoor sporting event.

What is more, Qatar 2022 has announced that post the world cup, many modular components of the stadiums no longer needed will be dismantled and shipped to other countries in order to promote football development.
Currently, AS&MP have presented designs for five football stadiums located across Qatar, two of which are adaptations of existing buildings. The proposed stadiums are as follows: The Al Rayyan Stadium is currently situated 20km northwest of the capital, Doha. Plans are to adapt the existing building, surrounding it in a membrane-like structure onto which will be projected match updates, tournament information and other filmic material. The plans also include doubling the seating capacity.
The second adaption will be the Al Gharafa stadium situated close to the city of Doha. The facade of the existing stadium is to be transformed into a vivid explosion of color and the seating capacity will be doubled. Al Shamal stadium will be a brand new stadium with a capacity for up to 45,120 people.
Proposed to be situated in north of Qatar, the design of this stadium has been inspired by the traditional local fishing boats of the Gulf, ‘dhows’. Al Wakrah is another brand new stadium that is more than a stadium, in fact it is proposed to be a huge sports complex complete with multi-purpose hall, themed swimming-pool, spa zone and shopping mall alongside the obvious sports facilities.
Finally, is the Al Khor stadium (another brand new one), that will boast of a seashell-inspired asymmetrical structure set in landscaped gardens and with a capacity to hold 45,330 football fans. Besides being able to watch more than one match per day, all stadiums will be linked to the brand new metro system allowing fans to travel from one stadium to another through public transport. Qatar will have to wait till December 2010 for FIFA will make their final decision as to which of the 11 bidding nations are to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Until then click here to view each stadium design.

Funniest Windows Errors

Kind of recursive if you think of it... Kind of recursive if you think of it... Kind of recursive if you think of it.
 Sure... If only I could!
 A self-conscious error message.
 It happens.
 Am I also an error?
You do realize how this is going to be a problem, right?
 Sometimes it does, unexpectedly work.
Sorry, I can't find the "any" key.
 Now that's an error message!
Would it KILL you just to wait patiently 127 years?

Aquarium Designs You Won’t See Every Day

I believe there is no many people who do not like to watch aquariums and who do not feel relaxing while doing that. Colorful exotic fishes are surelly beautiful and attractive but they are not so exotic without adequately environment.
Here you can see some really interesting and unusual aquarium designs.
Here you can see some kind of aquarium labyrinth which is made of few of glass bubbles which are connected with water-filled tubes so fishes can travel from one bubble to another. This aquarium is really one of those which will attract the most of sympathy of your guests.
If you are really a big fan of exotic colorful fishes and aquariums you would probably like to watch them even while washing your dishes. Someone came to an idea to create aquarium inside a sink which could perfectly fit in any kitchen. I am not sure how those fishes feel like when someone washing dishes above them every day.
We have already wrote that aquariums are things which can relax you very much and those two aquariums are example for such thing. It is enough to imagine you sitting there in this room and watching beautiful colorful fishes while swimming in large aquarium and you could feel the wind of relaxation is coming to you. I have to notice that they look like large displays to me.
If you think that aquarium-sink is too much unpractical for you, then, maybe this one could be right choice for you. If you decide to take this aquarium-table you will surely stay near your favorite pets for the most of day but the main consequence of such aquarium design is similar to sink-aquarium, it is questionable how fishes are going to react on different activities which can happen on the table above them.
